16th November 2020 – Global Insurance Law Connect (GILC) announced today that the Dutch law firm WIJ advocaten B.V. has become a member of the GILC legal network. The arrival of WIJ takes the network to a total of 19 members, 13 of whom are in its European group, which now includes firms in the Netherlands, Turkey, France, Germany, Spain, UK, Ireland, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Norway and Finland.
Jim Sherwood, Chairman of Global Insurance Law Connect commented: “WIJ advocaten were founded a decade ago, and in that ten years, they have focused entirely on insurance. They are a perfect fit for our group of like-minded specialist firms, who all have insurance running through their DNA, and we look forward to welcoming them to our GILC ‘family’. As our client list grows and the network expands, we are also delighted to add to our international coverage by bringing in a law firm from the Netherlands.”
Harriët Delhaas and Suzanne Bordewijk, Partners at WIJ advocaten, commented, “GILC has a growing reputation as a highly successful legal network. It is important to our firm and brings added value for our clients that we partner with international law firms who bring their own regional expertise to international cases and who understand the issues and challenges in the insurance industry.”
