1 February, 2018 – Global Insurance Law Connect announced today that Buren Legal’s China Practice has joined its network. Now with twelve member firms covering four continents, GILC looks to serve its clients’ global needs by offering an extensive network of local lawyers with detailed insurance expertise.

Mike Brown, Chairperson of Global Insurance Law Connect, said: “GILC is designed to deliver specialist advice across multiple markets, delivered in a collaborative manner. Insurance businesses – whether they operate in established centres or in the emerging markets, face an increasing range of challenges to all aspects of their businesses and margins. Our organisation will guide them through unfamiliar territories – giving global access to specialist insurance legal advice on a range of issues across a wide variety of markets.”

Jan Holthuis, Managing Partner of Buren’s Chinese offices, commented: “We are delighted to be part of the largest specialist insurance network. We deliver practical solutions to our clients to help them resolve and prevent legal challenges. The ability to work jointly with other member firms to deliver first class local advice to shared clients was a natural next step for us in developing our international offering.”
